Africa has a way of touching ones soul...

Born in South Africa and having lived there for 26 years helped nurture my love for African wildlife, which remains my predominant subject matter.  

My artistic goal is to create highly detailed realistic representations of the subject matter. I let my eyes act like a sponge soaking up all the details they can. I want the viewer to experience it as it is, whether it be the beauty, movement or character of the subject matter.

I do not always strive to achieve a completely photorealistic representation, as I often leave the background white and allow the subject matter to speak for itself.  

Now living in the south of Austria. I still take every opportunity to visit africa and get new inspiration.

I work predominantly in colored pencils but have recently started to dabble in oils.

My works have found their home in many different countries around the world. 

I have exhibited my works in various single and group exhibitions. “Wildlife Artist of the Year” finalists in 2015 and 2018.
